Leadership

Steve Bryan

After Dawn and I married we made a decision to pursue long-term missionary service in Ethiopia beginning in December of 1992. I completed a PhD on the mission of Jesus from Cambridge in 1999. , In Ethiopia I was heavily involved in the development of the Ethiopian Graduate School of Theology where I served in several leadership roles and taught New Testament. In January 2009, I became the Country Director of SIM Ethiopia, leading the work of 150 missionaries from 10 different countries along with 375 Ethiopian colleagues.  I completed that role in 2015, in order to focus fully on teaching and mentoring students. In mid-2016, we left Ethiopia, and I began teaching New Testament at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

We have been at TCC since March 2017 and we are enjoying a growing set of relationships within the church. We especially appreciate TCC’s focus on thoughtful exposition of Scripture and community. When I was approached by the elders to consider joining the team of elders, I agreed, first and foremost, because I believe God’s people are important to him and want my life to be about serving others.
