Jon Charles Croskey, 1956 - 2022
Jon Charles Croskey age 66 passed away on September 20, 2022, from ischemic cardiomyopathy. Jon was born January 25, 1956, in Ohio, the son of Wayne and Lamar Croskey from the Cincinnati area. He graduated from Fairfield High School, spent five years in the United States Air Force and then graduated from Cedarville University with a degree in marketing and music.
After college he spent his professional career in various sales positions, as a purchasing agent for Ada Metal, teaching music at the Craven Academy, a videographer, a computer technical specialist, a school bus driver, and an Uber driver.
Jon enjoyed all his jobs, especially the relationships formed with friends at his church, Trinity Community Church, Ada Metal, and teaching music at the Craven Academy in Grayslake. Jon was especially known for his expertise with computers and was a helpmate to many.
Jon was known at his church, Trinity Community Church, for running sound for church services, weddings, and related functions. He also taught a Sunday School Class. He will be remembered as a Christian, a patriot, and a loyal friend.
A celebration of life service will be held at Trinity Community Church, 1190 W. Winchester Rd., Libertyville, IL 60048 November 5 at 11 AM. A reception will follow at the church.
Jon is survived by his aunt and uncle Roger and Dana Hurlbert of Orlando Florida and his nephew Josh Croskey of Hamilton Ohio.
