The Paideia of Wisdom

This week we continue in Proverbs as the father describes the process of gaining wisdom.  He describes it like an initiation into a way of life, what the ancients would have called a paideia.  The path is one of listening, of fearing the Lord, and coming to love wisdom, which is the moment of true understanding.  It may seem like an overwhelming task, if our sage was not the one whose yolk is easy and burden light.
