Vindicated

Series: To the Cross

Vindicated

April 12, 2020 | Mike Stancak

Passage: Matthew 28:1-8

The resurrection is the central tenet of the Christian faith.  It is not what not what the early Christians argued for, but what they argued from.  In the resurrection we see the verdict of Rome and the religious authorities reversed, and Jesus vindicated.  But it isn't only Jesus who is vindicated; it is us, his people, united to him by faith and casting aside our own self-made worth in favor of his Kingdom, power, and glory.  In the resurrection we see that our trust is not in vain.  We are liberated to fear not, but to come and see where he lay, and to go and tell of what he's done.
