Worship the King

Once upon a time in a far off land,/Wise men saw a sign and set out ‘cross the sand.” So begins Steve Earle’s song “Nothing but a Child”.The magi traveled a long way to find a waning kingdom of frustrated hopes, apathetic and murderous leaders, and in a house in a small town, a child born King of the Jews. For them there was rejoicing and flight. And for us? What do we find when we look back to that place and that time? And how do we respond to the revelation we find?
