Authoritative

The sufficiency of Scripture may be the only doctrine in this series which is unique to Protestants.  We hold that Scripture is the only infallible source of doctrine, and therefore whatever other authorities we may consult, all of them are brought under the scrutiny of God's Word.  This principle came to be known as Sola Scriptura, and it is the principle which shaped the Reformation and must shape our relationship to the Bible.
