God and Servant

This Advent we consider the Incarnation through the lens given us by the Apostle Paul and our Lord himself. In becoming Man, Jesus served Man. If that sounds scandalous, then you probably understand it! This Sunday we reflect on the depth of what it means for the transcendent God to become one of us. It is an act of scandalous humility, culminating in Christ’s comprehensive gift of himself in his death. The service of Christ, humble and self giving, becomes the model for our own service to each other.
