Two Natures

Series: The Son of God, Our Lord

Two Natures

December 19, 2021 | Mike Stancak

Christ takes on humanity fully.  This idea of incarnation is different than any other we encounter in world religion, and it is the reason why Christ is approachable to us.  He can meet our needs because he came to us needy.  Christ was full of steadfast love and faithfulness, compassionate and lowly in heart, and he can sympathize with us in all our weakness.  All this is only possible because Christ did not just appear to be human; he took on humanity to the uttermost.

Hark The Herald Angels Sing

Traditional Christmas Hymn

Hark the herald angels sing

Glory to the newborn king

Peace on earth, and mercy mild

God and sinners reconciled

Joyful all ye nations rise

Join the triumph of the skies

With angelic host proclaim

Christ is born in Bethlehem

Hark the herald angels sing

Glory to the newborn king

Christ by highest heav'n adored

Christ the everlasting Lord

Late in time behold Him come

Offspring of the Virgin's womb

Veiled in flesh the Godhead see

Hail the incarnate Deity

Pleased as man with men to dwell

Je - sus our Emmanuel

Hark the herald angels sing

Glory to the newborn King

Hail the heaven-born Prince of Peace

Hail the Sun of Righteousness

Light and life to all He brings

Risen with healing in His wings

Mild He lays His glory by

Born that man no more may die

Born to raise the sons of earth

Born to give them second birth

Hark the herald angels sing

Glory to the newborn King

High king of heaven death is the poorer

We are the richer by the price that he paid

With fire in his eyes He will ransom his own

Through clouds he will lead us straight into glory

And there he shall reign Forever - more

Go Tell It On The Mountain

Traditional Christmas Hymn

Go tell it on the moun - tain over the hills and ev'rywhere

Go tell it on the moun - tain that Jesus Christ is born

While shepherds kept their watching O'er silent flocks by night

Behold through - out the heavens There shone a holy light

The shepherds feared and trembled when lo! Above the earth,

Rang out the angel chorus that hailed our Saviour's birth.

Go tell it on the mountain, over the hills and everywhere;

Go tell it on the mountain that Jesus Christ is born.

Down in a lowly manger the humble Christ was born

And brought us God's salvation that blessed Christmas morn

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Jesus Christ is born

Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Savior of the world.
