Awaiting Christ...with Hope

The conquest of God's judgment is not destruction for its own sake. In chapters 25 and 35, Isaiah looks past the destruction that looms ahead to reveal the end result: the restoration of all things.  The destruction is paving the way toward access to God, the Way of Holiness (35:8).  The veil of tears will be lifted, and death itself will be rolled back, therefore even as we know the judgment that comes with Christ's Return, we look forward to seeing with our own eyes the highway to Zion.
