Passage: Matthew 8:5-17
This week we resume the story of Matthew’s Gospel. Jesus has just concluded the Sermon on the Mount, leaving the crowds stunned by his claim to have authority over God’s law. And now, in a brief encounter with a Roman centurion, Jesus is going to show that his authority goes far beyond just the law and into the realm of nature itself. Join us Sunday to see the Kingdom breaking in through the miracles of Jesus, and, in the process, to learn the nature of true faith.
