Vice

Passage: Proverbs 23:19-21

This week we consider Proverbs' teaching on what a past generation would call pleasurable vices.  Sex and drink in particular feature prominently in Proverbs.  The danger they pose is the loss of strength; they sap energy that would otherwise be offered up to God.  A life of hedonism spends our vitality, and Proverbs calls us to truly live.
