Passage: Matthew 5:27-37

Ethics are more in question than they have been in many years.  While most people start a conversation on ethics with, “How far can a person go without trespassing a line?,”  Jesus approaches things a little differently.  The question for him becomes, “What sort of person loves goodness so much that she is never tempted to trespass?”
Jesus claimed that his disciples would live with a righteousness greater than even the religious elite, because his disciples would follow the Lord from the heart.  This Sunday we continue as Jesus unpacks examples of what this looks like practically.
