A Refuge and a Judge

October 20, 2024 | Mike Stancak

Passage: Psalms 2:1-12

Here we encounter the first mention of "the Son" in the psalms.  He is the king of God's own choosing, selected to be placed above all earthly powers.  His rule is destined to overwhelm all other kingdoms in favor of God's own.  This act of judgment will fall on the whole population of the earth, unless of course those awaiting judgment seek refuge in the very Judge whose "wrath is quickly kindled."
