He Who Comes in the Name of the Lord

Passage: Psalms 118:1-29

The faithfulness of God to David was faithfulness to vindicate him against his enemies and deliver him.  It isn't too farfetched to assume that if God did this for the little "m" messiah he will do far more of the same for the great Messiah.  It was this psalm that was quoted numerous times by the apostles, for in it they saw the story of Jesus: a stone tossed aside by a building crew only to become the cornerstone for another structure altogether.
