Embracing the Inheritance

Series: To The Exiles

Embracing the Inheritance

January 26, 2025 | Mike Stancak

Passage: 1 Peter 1:13-21

Christians have been set apart for an inheritance in Christ, much like an adult child who comes into possession of a rich, abundant farm.  It is a sudden and unconditional gift, and yet one that comes with profound responsibility.  The child must now embrace this new life of living on the farm.  To reject the new life is to reject the gift and the riches in the very same movement.  So Christians live in the fear of God in the time of their exile.
