Series: To The Exiles

For To This You Were Called

Passage: 1 Peter 3:8-12

Peter draws his concluding thoughts on submission.  Starting with submission to government, he then exhorts the exiles to submit in the workplace, then to submit at home, and now to submit to one another in community.  What might we learn from this sequence?  How might the letting go of worldly superiority and accumulation lead to taking hold of God’s promised blessing?  Might there be an even more important reason for God to want this from us?
