The One We Need

Passage: Matthew 19:13-15
If you’re a parent, you know what it’s like to feel the weight of responsibility to care for and love your children. In our efforts to love them, bless them and give them a hope for the future, we often try to be for them what only Jesus is, the perfect parent. Whether we have children or not, Jesus uses children as an illustration of the kind of people that He calls to His Kingdom and wants to come to Him; those who are childlike in their trust and dependence on Him. As the disciples learned, there is a lot we can learn from children. Come join us this Sunday to see why Jesus wants us to come to Him, with our children.

Matthew 12:22 - 20
In the next installment in our Matthew series as we see conflict heating up around Jesus. As his ministry continues, it becomes clear that the values of the Kingdom clash with the arrogance, pride, and apathy of his day, and people start to polarize around him. I'm sure the same will be true of us. At every step we'll find that Jesus' grace is sufficient for the journey, as we learn the way of the Upside-Down Kingdom.
