When Will These Things Be?

When Will These Things Be?

Passage: Matthew 24:1-14

It's always a cliche to say that we live in times of uncertainty. Maybe the reason why is because every generation feels it. In our day we have the alarmism of our news cycle and our die hard fixation on apocalyptic disaster stories. We feel the fragility of our lives and think, "This at last must be the end."  But Jesus reminds us this week that human history will play itself out through wars and rumors of wars, earthquake and famine. Uncertainty is the only thing we can be certain of. And one thing more: that the Kingdom of Heaven will prevail. And it's that knowledge that gives the disciple the hope necessary to prevail with it.
