Thanatos (Death)

Series: The Converted Imagination: Seeing the World through Christian Eyes

Thanatos (Death)

June 30, 2024 | Cooper Bryan

When we consider it as a physical phenomenon, death is the end of respiration. Yet our imagination is limited when this is the only lens through which we see death. Understood rather as a spiritual phenomenon, death is separation from the life of God. Framed in these terms, Christians see how we have hope of life. Life lived now and life continued after the physical experience of death.
