The Life of Prayer Part 2

Series: Taking Part: A Series on Prayer

The Life of Prayer Part 2

July 26, 2020 | Mike Stancak

Passage: Acts 2:42-47

This week we bring our prayer series to a conclusion with a final sermon on developing a life of prayer.  We broaden the lens a bit to consider what kind of character we should develop to be ready for a life of Christian spirituality.  In our culture, we tend to think of a spiritual person as someone who is spontaneous and, in some ways, detached from day-to-day obligations.  They're sort of above it.  But what we find in the Scriptures is that Christian spirituality is based on something different.  It's based on a disciplined devotion to prayer and Scripture, and the readiness to respond to God.
