Baptism - The Nicene Creed
November 09, 2025 | Mike Stancak
Passage: Romans 6:1-14
The authors of the creed include as one of the essentials of faith a belief in the meaning of baptism. For them, the sacraments were not simply helpful illustrations of Christian truth; they were essential to how the Church is for the world what she needs to be. In baptism, we have a sign of our inclusion in Christ through the forgiveness of sins, a sign of transfer from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. So remember your baptism, and leave your sins behind.
