The Giver of Life - Nicene Creed

We begin the third and final article of the Creed: the article on the Holy Spirit.  It is the burden of the Creed to affirm that the Spirit is as much God as the Son and the Father, though he plays a different role in salvation.  Throughout the Scriptures, it is the Spirit who is said to "give life."  By Him the life of Christ is brought to God's people and they are carried away into the adventure of putting to death the deeds of the flesh and living as adopted heirs of the Kingdom.
