Begotten Not Made

August 24, 2025 | Mike Stancak

Passage: John 1:1-18

Jesus is the incarnate Son of God.  By this, Christians do not mean that God the Father sired Christ in the normal way of humans.  As Jesus said, the Father has granted the Son to have life in himself (John 5:26).  The Son is eternally generated from the Father.  This is the way God lives.  But for Jesus to be the begotten One from God means that he is also the chosen one to rule his kingdom, the rightful heir to all the Father owns.
