Jesus Christ our Lord

Jesus Christ our Lord

August 17, 2025 | Mike Stancak

Passage: Matthew 1:18-25

Who is Jesus?  This is perhaps the central question of the Nicene Creed.  The identity of Jesus can be broken down into "Lord," "Jesus," and "Christ."  Each of these names brings with it a freight of meaning.  Jesus is the incarnation of Israel's God.  He is the long awaited savior.  And he is the king chosen for the everlasting kingdom of God.
