Passage: The Revelation to John Revelation 21:1-8

Revelation 21 sees the bride of Christ, descending from heaven within a new heavens and new earth. This is not the beginning of the New Jerusalem, but it is the moment at which the New Jerusalem is fully revealed. As much as this passage is about the great Christian hope, it is about the Church, a people with whom the Lord dwells, and in whom the future is anticipated. The renewal of all things is glimpsed within the people of God as the Lord makes all things new.
