Passage: The Revelation to John Revelation 17:1-18

In this weeks’s passage, John shows us a city called the great prostitute, in other words a city which has failed to act in faithfulness toward the one to whom it belongs. Momentarily, the city enjoys the favor of the beast, but God will quickly turn the nations against her and ruin her. The book of Revelation draws near to it final moments of judgment, and we are given the chance to consider our own nation, and to consider whether the church in America has been faithful, and to draw near in repentance.
