The Song of Moses

The world needs saving. Creation has been handed over to death and decay, and so have we. We are harassed by the world, the flesh, and the devil, and left to our own devices we side with all three of them. Therefore, we need rescuing also from the judgment of God that awaits the world, the flesh and the devil. But the God revealed in Christ is the same God who led the children of Israel through the Red Sea, and he is leading his Church out from under the power of the enemy. The Lord is even now subduing his enemies through the proclamation of his grace in Christ, and the Church is like the children of the Exodus, praising God for his saving power in the Gospel.
