Series: Exodus: The God Who Is
The God Who Is: A Survey of Exodus
August 09, 2020 | Mike Stancak
Passage: Exodus 1:8-22
This Sunday we begin a new series surveying the book of Exodus. Exodus is the founding story of the nation of Israel, and it is the book that most clarifies the mission of Jesus, because in Exodus we come to know God. In some ways the whole book is an answer to Pharaohs question, "Who is YHWH?" And what we find this week is that YHWH is a God who will be feared for his goodness. It will be a kind of fear that will lead Pharaoh to defy God's goodness, and it will be a godly fear that will lead the Hebrew midwives into risky obedience.
Series Information

Exodus is the story of the God of redemption, the God who brings together a people, and the God who dwells with us. This fall, join us as we come together around a survey of Exodus, to worship God for all he is, and to lift up the Name of the Lord as those who have been given mercy to know his Name.
